Become a Volunteer

Our volunteers are interested and knowledgeable in fostering entrepreneurship and economic development in the Alberni-Clayoquot region. If you wish to be considered for a volunteer position, complete the form below and send us a resume and cover letter.

What We Look For

Community Futures strives to recruit volunteers that are part of, work with or demonstrate an understanding of various stakeholder groups. Volunteers should:

Be fluent in English
Possess an interest in and knowledge of issues that affect the Alberni-Clayoquot region
Have an understanding of the economy of the Alberni-Clayoquot region
Own property, live or own a business in the Alberni-Clayoquot region

Firsthand experience as a business owner, or possessing a depth of understanding of small business is an asset.

Board Meetings

Volunteer Directors typically meet in person once a month during the lunch hour. Lunch is provided by Community Futures. Volunteers to committees meet as needed.
